How can a Christian author write about a topic as controversial as homosexuality in a way that is both loving and Biblical, and does not simply rely on current church interpretations?

Last year, I shared a heartfelt post about my beloved character, Christian Richter (you can visit the post here). Like me, author D.T. Powell accepted the God-given challenge to write a book in which the main character is same-sex attracted. Her upcoming novel, With Mercy’s Eyes, sounds like a must-read!
The post is linked below, and I encourage anyone who is interested to read it. Be aware of D.T.’s heart, and mine, in doing so:
“This post is specifically for churched, adult Christians in fundamental (or fundamental-adjacent) circles. If that isn’t you and you’d still like to read it, I’m thrilled you’ve decided to take the time to do that, but be warned you may not agree with everything you read here. If you are in the target audience, this is a difficult post. Not because it’s explicit in any way, but because it challenges mindsets all too common in today’s churches.”

The Brave Authors post is excellent, and With Mercy’s Eyes sounds compelling!
